Hi,
I had my first kidney stone in December 2014 aged 45. I didn't drink much alcohol and I was relatively fit with a reasonable diet. I reduced the red meat intake and saturated fat and lost a few kg's. In January of 2015 I woke one night with my first gout attack in my left big toe which lasted about 7 days and was agony. I took naproxen and lots of drank water and,it slowly went...until May when after 2 pints of lager and fish and chips when I awoke in night with a swollen right big toe! This time I tried ACV tablets too. 300 mg and 4 to 6 for a fortnight until the pain and swelling resided. Since then I have taken 2 tablets every night before bed with a glass of water and have not had another attack! If I have a few extra treats then I get tingles in my big toes and heal so I take an extra ACV tablet or 2 and so far there's not been another attack. I had a full medical about a month ago and my uric acid blood level was 460 - I had tuna steak the day before - so I should be suffering....but I'm not and I think the ACV is the reason. Hope it works for you!
Jason
