dogs and gout

today I am helping a border collie dog that is being pumped with antibiotics for gout. His big toe has wrapped around the second toe and now his knee area has swollen into a big ball.I am going to do the castor pack with heat on his knee area and then applying the cider vinegar that has been boiled with the rose hip flowers and adding some glycerin to make a thicker solution. I will soak up the solution with a flannel cloth and apply it to his knee, and use gauze to wrap it up along with a piece of saran wrap on top and then duct tape it on there. Wish me luck. this could be a break through for all that suffer with gout. Please always assure that the cider does not interfere with the drugs that you are given to injest. I know this works on me and hopefully Onyx will find some relief and come off of the drugs and pain killers that are loading him up with toxins and make him a "dozy" dog that just sleeps now.
