Gout and Alcohol

I visited my doctor the other day after an acute attack of gout (it takes 3 weeks to get an appointment)

The Doctor said that he could not find a reason for the attack and said he thought it was because of alcohol.

I agreed to come back when he was sober.

** turned out that the attack was caused by me tiling our bathroom. I had actually suffered an acute attack of grout
