Gout and Laser Therapy

The latest research from Dr Melissa Ritter in Southern California has shown dramatic success rate using infrared laser therapy on conditions such as Gout and Arthritis, the tests prove beneficial to Joint , muscle and nerve pain. The therapy works on swelling, injuries, disc and spinal stenosis, shingles, leg and neck problems , Gout ,rheumatoid arthritis and osteroarthritis. The laser combines wavelengths which expand and enhance the reduction of inflammation, and pain. The laser light utilizes biostimulative light energy to the body's cells and are then converted into chemical energy.

Laser therapy has therapeutic benefits in the reduction of muscle spasms, pain and stiffness. The laser being tested by Dr Ritter is a high level laser can can penetrate up to 12.6 centimeters into the body which has far more beneficial effects on a sufferer. For best results a patient requires a number of treatments that are only a few days apart in time as this is proving to be more effective for healing.

Gout and the African Potato

The African Potato

Hypoxis Hemerocallidea or hypoxidaceae, Zulu name " inkomfe"

I came across this little snippet of info in my research on Gout.

The African potato is currently under study as a stimulant of the immune system which could help alleviate or help aids sufferers in Africa and world wide. Studies are showing that there are active agents that seem to slow certain types of cancer and has proven early studies in alleviating arthritis. Studies by Drum in 1997, professor Piet van Jaarsveld, Anne Hutchings,Watt & Breyer Brandwijk have shown many infections , tumors and colds can be helped with this little wonder plant. The potato contains "Rooperol " and " Hypoxoside" which also contain phytosterols that are a known anti-cancer compound. Currently this is hard to get and if you can find the brew it comes under the name of " African Potato extract " by moducare", its a dark brown mixture and should be left in the fridge.

There are also tinctures, that are immune boosters and anti inflammatory which are beneficial to Gout sufferers. Other active ingredients of the African Potato are sterols and sterolins which in a cream form are also good for Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Gout.

Supposedly the African Potato also contains 40,000 times as many sterols as modern day vegetables.
