(brooklyn ny)

diagnosed with gout at age 23,heavy beer drinker and kept drinking and suffering til 2002.since stopping drinking my attacks are few and far between.i eat red meat, cakes, chocolate etc.i would feel a twing and take a few colchicine and it would be over.now that they banned colchicine and came up with this expensive colcrys i am having a few attacks.still minor.colcrys doesnt seem to work as well.u can only take max 2 a day
i used to take 1 colchicine every hr for 4-5 hrs.
i have tried, vinegar, bean juice, etc etc.i do eat 12 cherries a day or take cherry concentrate.
i am doing fine although my dr wants me on allipurinol.i refuse, took it once and became ill.he of course denied it was the drug although side effects are chest infections.anyway, its a battle i have under control with cherries and quercetin and bromelian.i think zyflamend is wrong because it has soy.soy is bad for gout.
i was using new chapter holy basil gels and got an attack, coincedence?maybe.i wil ltry again
keep u the fight
