stress related gout

I can definitely relate that stress is causing my gout. I do not eat high purine levels of foods and I am not a drinker. I drink plenty of water, but I have a weight gain, hair fallining out, stressful jobs (2) and I also have sleep apnea which adds to stress. I do not have flairs much but when I do I can relate them to times I have been stressed like now. I just lost a student at school and also a close friwend in one week, along with running a business ( a big one) and teaching school for special education kids I am stressed. I just had a flair today but not as big as some I have had before and it has been a year since my last one (my mom died). Yes stress is a factor. My brother also suffered some bouts and he is highly stressed as well.

Any help is appreciated.

Bitter Gourd Juice for Gout relief
by: Gambit Mule

Gout runs in our family and I fairly convinced that it is genetic in origin .... the actual condition may be triggered by enviornmental factors like high purines in the diet or stress. I have been using "Bitter Gourd" juice for a while. You can buy this in speciality stores ...... virgin pressed is the way to go. Bitter gourd juice in the morning is certainly not appetising but it is one the natural remedies apparently used in India for a very long time for both diabetes and gout. I highly recommend it . I drink it diluted with water in the morning.

Gout
by: Anonymous

You read about the apple cider cure here at the website? It works. However, I'm having problems with it burning my esophagus and so I'm scared that I won't be able to use it, because it appears to be the only thing that naturally takes care of it. I may buy pH strips, like someone here mentioned (and I had thought of it also). My gout is newly acquired. I guess I was stressed off the chart and eating all the wrong foods (purine laden)...Who knew beans were chock full high of purines! I don't drink either. My portions were outta control and I'm overweight. I do not have apnea but I have the high blood pressure and kidney stones (oxylase in nature). So I'm on day 3 of a 1600 calorie diet that a registered dietitian put me on this past week--whom I found through google in my area.

Good Luck to you.
