THE FINAL SOLUTION!

I suffered a lot without taking the issue seriously. Four years ago it attacked my right knee and hip. THAT WAS REAL HELL! I had kidney stones two times before, and that pain was not near the pain in my hip and knee!!! I spent 11 days on my left side (and a total of three weeks in bed). I could not even turn to my back during this time! At this time I understood that I had to take my long time gout problem seriously… The final solution that I found, after many hours of research on the Internet and in books, can be described in 4 points, and has also rescued many of my friends:
1) Drink lots of water every day; a total of 2 liters of liquids is recommended. 2) Take Allupuriniol, 300mg every day (it gives no relief if you have an attack, but do not discontinue). Check acid level and go down to 100mg if possible. Treatment is life-long. 3) Never drink so much alcohol that the kidneys and liver will be so busy with the alcohol that it does not have capacity to control your uric acid level (drinking cheap booze in huge quantities is just about the worse you can do). Beer contains purines and should be taken moderately (but there is a Japanese beer that is purine free). 4) Avoid foodstuff that contains lots of purine, like liver, kidneys (organ meats are purine bombs!), beans, peas, collie flower, lentils, shellfish, prawns, gizzards. (P.S. You can always sin...a little!)
Kidney stones, gout and vascular decease are connected and I also had a triple bypass heart surgery 18 months ago… After that I reduced my weight by exercising and changing my diet. Now I finally feel 100% and just turned 54, expecting still many good years! I wish you good luck too!

PS. I live in Africa since 30 years, and am now a citizen of an African country, so I do not have my original Swedish medical and social security parachute to hang in when I get sick...

Uric acid, which is found naturally in the blood stream, is formed as the body breaks down waste products that the body produces by breaking down the body's dead cells etc., so you can only marginally control it by your FOOD INTAKE. You need to attack it on several fronts; AT LEAST the four ones I described, in order to make sure that you get rid of the problem. I had very severe problems during years and only when I attacked it on all four fronts I managed to get rid of it! It is not difficult, you must just know what to do, and I hope my advise from experience will help you. I can not afford to have it, just like you, so I and dead serious about what I'm talking about. Warmest regards and good luck!

I'm a gout sufferer since Jan 2011 but did have it in 2010 (unaware, though my level showed it at 9.0--the dr never told me about this gout!).

I've been on a long hard road since January, 2011--not as hard as some, but I work full schedules as a massage therapist and can't be down with illness--no work--no pay! No insurance...

I've seen a dietitian, drank 2 liters of water/day, have been doing the apple cider vinegar cocktail (not religiously enough) daily (1-2 times day).....to be continued.
